The Dance of the Day and Night

A summer's day it was
when they first met.
When the brightness
was below the darkness.
involved in a huge crowd,
there they were,
looking at each other.

He was looking at the brightest sun
and she was looking at the moon
that suddenly shone.
With no more hesitation,
he proposed her.

Both became one,
the future was settled.
though the odds were low
the sun and the moon
finally found a path together.

The dance of the day and night,
the ballad of the goddess and god.
The moon and the sun
moved from place to place
among the stars;
In a never ending song.

Though now
They don't share the same path.
No one will forget
the bright light
that was formed that night,
that shall keep shining
in different paths.
